Additional fees may apply for electrical panel upgrade, multiple roof areas, conduit wiring greater than 100 ft, two or more story property, or tilt mounting.


How to Install the PV Solar Electric Kit

  1. Read and follow the installation instruction manuals provided with the solar panel, micro-inverter, and mounting
  2. Secure the roof attachments or flashing to the roof joists; add caulk as needed
  3. Attach mounting rails to the roof attachments using supplied hardware
  4. Secure the micro-inverter(s) to the mounting rails using the supplied hardware
  5. Connect the AC inverter cables along each row of modules.
  6. Connect the AC inverter cable to a junction box or AC Safety Switch disconnect box (optional, varies by location). Throw the AC safety switch to the OFF position.
  7. Connect PV wires from the junction box or safety switch to an open circuit breaker in the household electrical box. Throw the solar circuit breaker to the OFF position.
  8. Connect the solar panel output cables to the micro-inverter input cables
  9. Secure the solar panels to the mounting rails using the supplied mid-clamps and end-clamps
  10. Contact the local building department and / or electric utility company to schedule inspection prior to system activation and connection to the grid
